think it, be it

“and be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind

(having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude)”

John Maxwell said that “success is just an attitude away”

Herm Albright said, “A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.” – (that was for you, rick…right?)

ask yourself what it is that will set you apart from everyone else today. for me, i hope it’s that my attitude is reflective of my faith – in a good way – in an insatiable, contagious way. as a Christian, i will strive to keep a positive, attractive attitude wherever i find myself…& live out the joy in me that was planted there when God’s Spirit took residence – let it bloom in brilliance, emit a fragrance of freedom & contentment in all weather. i’ll strive to keep an attitude worth envying by renewing my thoughts -trading lies for the truth in His Word, and thank Him for every little thing i can.

That is a fantastic way to look at things. I recently did a blog-post because of a quote I read on the InWorship blog. It was all about the give and take – consume vs. produce concept in positive attitudes. The more we are positive the more we surround ourselves with positive the more we give positive. Take a look at it here – I’d love to hear what you are thinking about it after you read it.

benny, thanx for reading. it’s pretty simple huh – positive & neg. both attract like qualities. i’ve heard that’s the basis of that book ‘the secret’ that’s all the rave this yr. but it’s no secret ~ there’s nothing new under the sun. everything people think of & claim as some profound spiritual epiphany * another good example is teachings from ‘a new earth’ * can be found in its purest form in the BIBLE…minus the ever-so-subtle self-reliant twists

Chelan – I enjoyed the blog and the comment. I agree – there are no secrets. The book you chose to read for your life and the book you decide to write for your life – are yours. It is what YOU make of it – and you need to give some real thought and concerted effort to what you intend to do with your life.

BTW: I started to read the Secret – and I may have gotten half way through it before I was completely turned off. I am not sure that teaching people to “wish” for something and then sit back and watch and wait for it to happen is a good idea. No – let me rephrase that- I KNOW it is not a good idea!

The Secret is: You do need to “desire” but then you need to add a plan for that desire to happen and work to the success you wish to achieve – wishing is for Disney movies! Success is for those who will reach for it!
