If she’d listen, I wouldn’t have yelled at her.

She started it!

I didn’t ‘run’ the stop sign. I rolled it. Why’d they put one in the middle of nowhere, anyway?

It’s not me. If he (or she) paid me some attention, I wouldn’t have sought it elsewhere.

It’s not gossip if I would say it to their face. Plus, they should expect people to talk if they act that way.

Why is it so damn hard for us to own up – take some responsibility for our behavior!?  I guess it’s in our genes from the get-go … denial & then blame. Case in point, check out this conversation I had with Angel, who’s now two:

“poo”

“did you go poo poo?”

“no….by” (this is how she says, “Bray”) as she points to her brother.

“oh. did braylon poop in your diaper?”

“yeah.”
